Working great by working out!
We all know the general benefits of exercising right? No, I am not talking about weight loss and losing inches but about the actual health benefits, such as:
Improvement in cardiorespiratory function
Increase in strength and endurance
Increase in flexibility and mobility
Regulating body fat%
More energy, etc.

These benefits are reason enough for companies to get their employees to exercise regularly. However, there are more significant benefits that not only will improve the employee as an individual, but also will increase their productivity immensely, resulting in high profits for the company too.
The journal Obesity, Fitness & Wellness Week presented an article that talked about how companies, when implementing health and fitness programs, have seen a great reduction in the duration of lost-time workers 'compensation claims', as well as "promoting healthy behaviors that potentially inhibit unsafe or inattentive workplace behavior" (“Lockton; An Overlooked Benefit of Corporate Wellness Programs,” 2013, para. 3)
Research has also proved other benefits such as improve attention, reduce work-related stress, and decrease or eliminate physical pain caused by work-related activities; which directly results in less absenteeism, lesser turnovers, and more productivity.
More research has been done lately on the more profound health benefits of exercises programs in individuals, and also on how these benefits help companies while saving money and increasing production capacity.
As little one or two minutes of a moderate to intense exercise in the workstation every 2 or three hours, either standing or sitting can improve an employee's level of energy instantly. Such, when combined with a regular structured exercise program of as little as 10-20 minutes a day has incredible benefits for both the employee and the business.
So, without further adieu, if you are an employer, start implementing, promoting, and encouraging physical activity to your employees. And if you are an employee of the human resources department, kindly suggest to your employer to help start an exercise program for the workforce to help improve health and fitness, and increase productivity.
